How Can VREPAIR Cause Data Loss in Novell?

VREPAIR is a Novell command that is used to simplify several Novell volume corruption related problems and remover name space entries from DET (Directory Entry Table). It is the inbuilt utility that is very powerful and can fix the corruption related problems in most of the situations. You can use this command in following scenarios:

A hardware malfunction either prevented hard drive volume from mounting or resulted a disk read error :

A power failure has damaged the Novell volume

The Novell server shows memory errors and can not mount the volume after a name space is added to volume.
